The Greater Philadelphia Region Life Sciences report details investments in life sciences companies from 2011 through the first half of 2016 and shows the sector is poised for continued growth in our area. During the last five years, 1,200 life science companies have received more than 5,400 life science-related patents, $1 billion in NIH funding and $6.3 billion in private investments.

Temple University’s Fox School of Business’ online MBA program maintains its first place rank on U.S. News & World Report’s list of best online programs for the third year in a row. The school’s online bachelor’s degree program also rose from No. 6 to No. 2 on the 2017 list.

Thirty-six startup Philadelphia companies were awarded close to $2.4 million in tax credits by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development in 2016 as part of the Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) Tax Credit Program. All are located in the University City Keystone Innovation Zone. A total of up to $15 million in credits are available statewide each year to eligible companies.
